Online Registration at RegattaCentral.com. Just type in North Jersey Rowing, select your course, and follow the instructions. It’s that simple.
Only completed online forms will be accepted. Any additional data must be emailed to North Jersey Rowing before the first class. Registrations will NOT be accepted by phone or mail. Participants must be at least 12 years old. Those under 18 years old must have parental or guardian approval.
All lessons are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register early to avoid disappointment.
All lessons and schedules are subject to revision or cancellation. Rowing is conducted rain or shine. Only thunderstorms, heavy winds or other unusual weather stops us from going out on the water.
In case of complete cancellation, transfer to the next available session within the same year will be attempted before offering refunds. Individual session cancellations due to holidays and weather or other uncontrollable circumstances will not be re-scheduled.
Swim Test
All first time participants at the Center must prove their swimming ability either with YM/YWCA or American Red Cross certifications prior to your course. Please print and complete the swimming test (Download PDF).
At your first class you must bring a document signed by a certified lifeguard stating your ability. If we do not receive this for our files, you cannot go out on the water.
Missing classes
Attendance is not transferable. You may not make up a missed session by attending another session. If you are sick, we expect you to phone or email the coach as soon as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Your attendance is critical as everyone is needed in their respective boat. For the competitive programs, all athletes are expected to attend their practice session.
Notification of Class Confirmation
Once we have received your completed registration form and payment, you will be contacted for confirmation via telephone or email. Simply arrive at the first session time you have selected. If a lesson is full, you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted for the next available session.
Refund/Withdrawal Policy
If a session is filled when we receive your registration, you will not be charged. If you withdraw from a session at least 48 hours before the start date, you will receive a credit for another lesson in the same season. We do not offer any refunds after the first day of a program. If you withdraw from a session less than 48 hours before the start date, you will not get a refund. No refunds, credits or transfers after the start-date of a lesson. No refunds, credits or transfers after the start-date of a lesson. Credits are non-transferable; lesson can only be attended in current season. Written notification of withdrawal must be submitted to be eligible for above terms.
